Gomoku: Five Stones in a Row is a strategic board game intended for two participants. On a square board measuring 19×19 (in the classic version) or 15×15 (in the contemporary sports variant) points, competitors take turns placing stones of two distinct colors. The victor is the player who first creates an unbroken line of five stones of their color either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. It offers numerous variations, differing in specific aspects of the rules. The game is thought to have been established in China over two millennia ago. Today, the game is recognized globally; competitive events are organized based on it.
